The policy
North Carolina law requires each governing board to adopt a code of ethics. The Wilkesboro Town Council's adopted Code of Ethics Policy sets the standards the Mayor and Council Members follow when they make decisions on behalf of the Town.
Who it covers
The policy applies to the Mayor, the Mayor Pro Tem, and all Council Members. Town Council decisions are supported by the Town Clerk, Town Attorney, and Town Manager.
